Edmond Maurus - Edmond Maurus (1925-1955) Maurus studied at the Germain Pilon School where he was mentored by O. G. Gérin, the founder of the Corporation of Publicity Designers. Maurus created his first successful posters after World War II; he was also a versed in classical painting style of landscapes. AIR FRANCE commissioned him between 1925 and 1955 to create a series of posters depicting destinations serviced by the airline.
